Raoul Gilioli at The Hub , Rue Montorgueil Paris

 

 

Raoul Gilioli, artist and designer from Turin, after concluding his art studies has lived for three years in central America, dedicating himself to surf and photographing nomadic communities.
Later, after a training in Rotterdam as a designer, he created at Turin the jewellery brand 'Ion' and the design brand 'Format-C'. 
As a photographer he has exposed and taken part to several exhibitions in Italy and abroad and for the last Torino Film Festival he has presented his work about Roman Polanski called 'Permeabilitè'.
In April 2011 he presented at Palazzo Birago his project 'You at the mirror', an installation which consisted in talking mirrors. 
On June he inaugurated a momument called '8SK8' dedicated to the city of Turin and inspired by the world of skateboard and his hard cohabitation with the city.

 

 

The exhibition, launched on Saturday,April 28th,  will be a retrospective of Gilioli's work : Skathéroisme, a photographic series that blurs the line between skate and gipsy culture ; Perméabilité, a tribute to cinema and more specifically an homage to Roman Polanski's work ; and The Talking Mirrors, a reflective installation. Exclusively for The HUB, Raoul Gilioli is producing a four-faced totem aiming to narrate humanity in its different typologies using sensorial tools.
